Solar PHP FrameworkTimed with Paul M. Jones’ presentation at Confoo yesterday, Paul’s blog announced that Solar 1.0.0 Stable was released on Monday. Some great features have been added, like automatic cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection, and others have been optimized, like queries for countPages() and session-starting strategies. See http://svn.solarphp.com/core/tags/release-1.0.0/info/notes for the full list of changes or visit the official Solar website.

Even Slashdot has taken notice of the Solar release, which has driven a lot of traffic to the Solar site and has started a lively thread on why you should bother using a framework. Paul has answered that question, at least for Solar, on his site’s Project page.
