Timed with Paul M. Jones’ presentation at Confoo yesterday, Paul’s blog announced that Solar 1.0.0 Stable was released on Monday. Some great features have been added, like automatic cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection, and others have been optimized, like queries for countPages() and session-starting strategies. See http://svn.solarphp.com/core/tags/release-1.0.0/info/notes for the full list of changes or visit the official Solar website.
Even Slashdot has taken notice of the Solar release, which has driven a lot of traffic to the Solar site and has started a lively thread on why you should bother using a framework. Paul has answered that question, at least for Solar, on his site’s Project page.
