Trainer Profile: Matthew Setter

Matthew SetterMatt has been designing and developing software (primarily web-based) for over 12 years, developing primarily with open source tools, such as PHP, Linux, OpenLDAP, MySQL and PostgreSQL, with his favorites being PHP and Zend Framework.  He’s worked in Australia, England and Germany both directly for companies and as a freelance developer in the industrial, higher education, affiliate marketing and political sectors.

In addition to this he’s been a freelance writer and professional blogger for nearly 4 years writing for a variety of on and offline publications.  When not doing all of this, he maintains the blog that he started over 3 years ago – Malt Blue which teaches all about software development, on a regular basis, primarily focused around Zend Framework. So whether it’s designing and developing software or writing and teaching, you could say software’s what he loves the most.
