I spent the first half of my career isolated in the long loneliness. It almost broke me, but I learned in time to not be afraid of letting other people into my life. I learned that I had a lot to gain from building relationships with other people. More importantly, I learned how much I had to offer.

I was humbled to learn that her first exposure to the PHP community was php[tek] 2013 and about the profound impact going to tek had on her life. Putting on each event is a ton of work but seeing how it can affect the lives, professional and otherwise, of our speakers and attendees is very rewarding.
